This Privacy Policy explains how IMA MCN Malaysia Sdn Bhd ("IMA AI", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects information when you visit imaai.my or use IMA AI applications such as IMAAI-ID (id.imaai.my). It is provided in line with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
We collect two kinds of information:
We use cookies through Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. These cookies do not identify you personally to us. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may then work differently.
We use the information to respond to your enquiries, to operate and improve imaai.my, and to understand our audience. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
We use trusted third-party service providers to run the site — principally Google (analytics) and Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery). They process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms. Because these providers operate globally, your information may be processed on servers located outside Malaysia.
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Chat assistant. When you use the chat assistant on this site, identifying details (such as your name, contact details and IP address) are kept only as long as needed to respond to you, then deleted or anonymised. De-identified conversation data — with personal details removed — may be retained to analyse and improve the assistant. If you give us your contact details so our team can follow up, we keep them while that enquiry is active and delete them on request.
IMAAI-ID is our identity application. If you create an account, we store the profile and contact information you choose to enter (such as your own details, and the people and organisations you record) solely to provide the service to you. This information is never sold and is not used for advertising.
IMAAI-ID offers an optional, user-initiated Google Contacts sync. If you connect a Google account, the app requests the Google Contacts permission (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/contacts) and uses it only to:
The app does not read, import or store your existing Google contacts, and does not access any other Google data. The only Google-related data we store are the authorisation token you grant us, your Google account email address, and the identifiers of the contact entries the app itself created, so they can be updated instead of duplicated. You can stop the sync at any time by disconnecting the account inside IMAAI-ID or by revoking access at myaccount.google.com/permissions; on disconnection we delete the stored token.
IMAAI-ID's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is never transferred to third parties, never used for advertising, and never used to train artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
Under the PDPA you may request access to, or correction of, the personal data we hold about you, and you may withdraw consent to its processing. To do so, contact us at info@imaai.my.
This site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
